About Vandena
A little about me.
I’ve spent most of my professional life in rooms where the stakes were high and the pressure was real.
Before I became a coach, I spent more than fifteen years in senior leadership roles in financial services. I started out as a chemical engineer, studied for an MBA at UCT’s Graduate School of Business, moved into management consulting, and eventually into leadership. So when a leader tells me about the complexity they’re navigating — the competing demands, the politics, the loneliness of the decisions — I don’t just understand it intellectually. I’ve lived it.
That lived experience is part of what I bring to my coaching. But so is the rigorous professional training that followed — in leadership and team coaching, in assessments like the Leadership Circle Profile, and in practices like Thinking Environments and Mental Fitness.
I coach because I believe that when leaders grow and teams strengthen, the benefits ripple outward through entire organisations — through culture, through performance, through the people those organisations serve. That matters to me. Deeply.
